N Phi O was founded on the campus of Southern University & A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 27th, 1993 by six men of music.

FOUNDERS (The Original 6): Nissan Ballard, Sedric Bowens, Ebria Keiffer, Quintin Merrit, Shawn Reed, David Wallace

Several more members were brought into N Phi O during the 1993 Bayou Classic weekend.
