
HONORARY MEMBERSHIP
Honorary members shall possess the same general qualifications as active members as bulleted below except that they shall not be regularly enrolled in the college or university nor possess any qualifications as musicians. They shall be a Louisiana native, generally recognized as outstanding in their field of endeavor or shall have performed outstanding service for a college or university band or organization.

Honorary member candidates cannot be a currently enrolled college student. If you are a college student, you must contact your school's chapter and request info for New Initiates

Must be over the age of 21

Complete and submit a Honorary Member Suggestion Form

Must have graduated from a Louisiana high school or attended a Louisiana high school for at least two (2) years

Must have participated in a Louisiana high school music ensemble, such as a marching band, concert/symphonic band, jazz band, choir, dance group, etc.

Approved Honorary Members must contribute a one-time Life Membership Fee - $300
Approval of honorary membership is based on the decision of the National Council. The more detailed information you provide on the candidacy for honorary will help the decision to confirm or deny.
